URLmotion ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered video generation service. We turn any URL into a short explainer video. Our service is operated by the URLmotion team. Contact us at support@urlmotion.com.

2. What we collect

• Account data: name, email address, and profile picture via Clerk authentication (Google, email/password).
• Usage data: the URLs you submit, the videos generated, and job history stored in our database.
• Payment data: billing information is processed by Creem. We never store your card details.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage logs for security and performance monitoring.
• Cookies: session cookies for authentication, preference cookies, and analytics cookies (see Section 7).

3. How we use your data

• To provide and improve the URLmotion service.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send transactional emails (receipts, usage alerts).
• To detect and prevent abuse or fraud.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share data with

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Clerk: authentication and user management.
• Convex: database and backend infrastructure.
• Creem: payment processing.
• AWS / Cloudfront: video storage and delivery.
• OpenAI / Google/ Anthropic: AI models used to generate video content.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated videos and job data are retained for 90 days after generation. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any right, email support@urlmotion.com.

7. Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Strictly necessary: session and authentication cookies required for the service to function.
• Preferences: remembering your theme and UI settings.
• Analytics: aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the product.

You can manage cookie preferences via the banner shown on your first visit or by adjusting your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will affect service functionality.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and access controls for data at rest. However, no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong password and keep it private.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
